Spring has sprung and it means a number of Swansea attractions are preparing to open for a fun-packed Easter.

The council’s popular outdoor and indoor attractions – including the pedalos and crazy golf at Singleton Park, the crazy golf at Southend Gardens and the Swansea Bay Rider Land Train – are set to reopen on March 31 in time for the holidays. Oystermouth Castle opens on April 1.

Cabinet member Robert Francis-Davies said: “With the days becoming longer and warmer our attractions are ready for another great season.

“Whether it’s a cultural trail, an outdoor trail or a heritage trail, there’s no better time to find the perfect one in Swansea. Everybody can try our trails!”

Swansea has an excellent portfolio of indoor and outdoor council-run attractions plus those on offer by the private sector.

Cabinet member Elliott King said: “We have a great and varied choice of indoor venues, including our libraries, the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery, Dylan Thomas Exhibition, Swansea Museum and the Grand Theatre.”

Oystermouth Castle Easter fun days planned include the castle’s Living History Day opening event on April 1 and Easter Bunny Trail on April 9.

The Glynn Vivian Art Gallery His Dark Materials exhibition runs until April 23. The gallery also has Easter holiday activities such as a series of creative drop-in workshops for all the family.

The Dylan Thomas Centre has Dylan’s Favourite Sweets trail throughout April.

Swansea Museum events include free drop-in workshops offering the chance to decorate plant pots and to design paper flowers.

The council’s public libraries have free community events planned for the holidays. Regular rhyme time events and Lego clubs continue.
