People are being invited to have their say on updated plans to transform Swansea’s Civic Centre into a major new waterfront destination.
Swansea Council and Urban Splash are asking residents to view the latest proposals before the project moves to its next stage.
The vision for the site includes a next generation aquarium, a new saltwater lido, cafés, bars, shops, leisure and events facilities, flexible workspace and around 130 new apartments.
Plans also feature a dramatic central atrium, along with a roof terrace and sundeck overlooking Swansea Bay.
Members of the public will have the opportunity to view the updated proposals at an exhibition at Y Storfa on:
- Wednesday 8 July, from 12pm to 6.30pm
- Thursday 9 July, from 9am to 4.30pm
Cllr Rob Stewart, Leader of Swansea Council, said: “This is a significant step forward in our plans for the site, building on the valuable feedback we’ve already received from residents.”
“We want people to take a look at the updated plans and tell us what they think before we move to the next stage.”
David Warburton, of Urban Splash, added: “This is an important milestone as we bring forward our vision for Swansea’s seafront.”
“We’re committed to celebrating the Civic Centre’s architectural heritage while reimagining it as a vibrant, welcoming hub for the community and visitors alike.”
