    Technology centre in mid-Wales to open its doors for free

    CAT, which is fully equipped with everything needed for a great day out, is waiving the entry fee this winter. Visitors can explore working examples of renewable energy, discover sustainable buildings and techniques, walk round organically managed gardens and learn about land management and the history of CAT on the Quarry Trail Walk through sustainably managed woodland.

    CAT’s chief executive Adrian Ramsay said:

    “Waiving the entry fee to the CAT visitor centre will help inspire, inform and enable more people to engage with our work and access the important information about climate change and sustainable living.’’

    CAT’s shop is packed full of great, sustainable gift ideas and the café is serving hot, tasty, vegetarian meals every day. CAT’s playground will also be open as normal to help the little ones run off extra energy.

    Entry to the site is via the Garden Steps which take visitors past CAT’s productive allotment fields. The water-balanced cliff railway does not operate during the winter period.
