The fittest men and women of Wales have been revealed following an awards ceremony in Cardiff at the inaugural Welsh Fitness Classic.

At a standing room only crowd of 2,000 people, some of the best bodybuilders in the UK went head to head for the title of Welsh Fitness Classic Champion. After months of intense training and dieting it was time to see who was on the money.

The Welsh Fitness Classic was hosted by 2021 MMA, MC of the Year Ricky Wright.

The Welsh Fitness Classic selected a world-class independent judging panel, who found the decisions almost impossible. After an incredibly closely fought contest, the winners are:

    • Ladies Bikini Challenger Division – Zoe Hodgkinson
    • Ladies Bikini Open Division – Natasha Minchella
    • Ladies Bikini Masters Division – Kelly Johnson
    • Ladies Figure & Ladies Figure Masters – Joanna Hudson
    • Men’s Classic Bodybuilding – Piotr Karol
    • Men’s Classic Bodybuilding Masters – Andy Osborne
    • Men’s Physique – G Ramakrishna Menon
    • Welsh Fitness Classic Ladies Champion – Natasha Minchella
    • Welsh Fitness Classic Men’s Champion – Piotr Karol
    Gary Davis

The Welsh Fitness Classic also awarded two athletes who had overcome huge challenges to compete on stage, the “Renzo Algieri Contribution to Welsh Bodybuilding”. The winners are: Katy Jane Cooke and Gary Davis.

    Katy Jane Cooke

Welsh Fitness Classic Founder Wesley Skene said, “Every athlete was incredibly inspirational. The most important part of the show was the story behind each athlete. Everyone had overcome huge challenges to even step on stage. It was an honour to create a platform to celebrate their achievements. The Welsh Fitness Classic left no stone unturned in pursuit of a world class show and production values. We are proud to say that no other show in the UK can compete with us for the standard and quality of the show we produce.”

Although the date for the 2023 Welsh Fitness Classic is yet to be announced, the show already has competitors signed up and ready to go. The 2023 Welsh Fitness Classic and Welsh Fitness Expo is set to be even bigger and better
