Aberystwyth-based cycling company Crys Melyn Cycling has been named as the Official Cycling Adventure Partner of the Tour of Pembrokeshire.

Established last year as a provider of cycling holidays and tours that showcase Wales as a cycling destination, the partnership will lead to new cycling routes and training events across West Wales.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to work together to promote the amazing cycling that this area has to offer riders of all ages and abilities,” said Scott Tompsett, the owner of Crys Melyn Cycling.

The Tour of Pembrokeshire, an annual cyclo-sportive event that next takes place on May 18, has built a reputation as a must-do cycling event in West Wales.

“But the Tour is also more than one weekend,” explained Tour Director, Peter Walker. “We also work with like-minded local businesses such as Crys Melyn Cycling to promote cycling all year round.”

The new partnership will see Crys Melyn Cycling launch new guided and self-guided cycling holidays and tours in West Wales, with routes taking in the remote Cambrian Mountains of Mid Wales, the rugged Welsh coastline and the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.

They will also deliver coaching events aimed at boosting road cyclists’ confidence in bike handling and repair.
