Trainees are the lifeblood of Ashmole & Co accountancy firm which has offices throughout south Wales. Tom Williams recently started with the Haverfordwest team as a Trainee Accountant after completing his AAT Level 2.

Tom, who lives with his family near St Davids, has joined Ashmole & Co after gaining his AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) Level 2 qualification. He is now studying for his AAT level 3 as part of his apprenticeship.

Ashmole & Co are encouraging those who are waiting for their GCSE or A Level results to consider a future career in accountancy. There is currently a vacancy for a Trainee Accountant in the Ammanford office and the firm can offer students work placements whilst they are studying.

As a Trainee Accountant, day to day, Tom completes various tasks relating to preparing accounts and tax returns for clients including local individuals, sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.

William Hughes, Partner in the Haverfordwest and Tenby Ashmole & Co offices, said, “It is important as a profession that we help nurture the next generation of professional accountants. Trainee staff members are the lifeblood for the future success of our firm. We are a local business and are always keen to employ those who live locally.”

Tom said, “I’m grateful to Ashmole & Co for giving me the opportunity to join the team as a trainee. It is very rewarding to be constantly developing the skills that will help me succeed in the future.”

When he’s not studying or working Tom enjoys watching and following a variety of different sports.

Ashmole & Co are one of the largest chartered certified accountants in south Wales. The rapidly expanding and modern firm often has job opportunities for enthusiastic individuals both qualified and non-qualified within the organisation.
