Pioneering digital start-up Business Butler recently hosted its Official Launch online and the virtual event was a resounding success.

The landmark occasion was originally planned to be a physical launch party held in Cardiff but due to the current climate this wasn’t possible. Faced with either delaying the launch until restrictions are lifted or to go ahead with a virtual launch online – there was only going to be one answer, as Business Butler’s CEO and Founder, Bhupinder Sidhu explains:

“The timing for our launch was crucial and ideally we would have preferred a physical event but we couldn’t wait for the restrictions to be lifted. So, although an online event of this scale would be a first for us, we relished the challenge and thankfully succeeded.”

The launch opened with experienced keynote speaker and eminent Behavioural Economist Mr Mark Pittaccio talking about “Business Butler and the Trust Equation.” This was followed by a variety of roundtable discussions from Business Butler Experts on subjects ranging from branding to leadership and winning clients to staff retention.

At the peak of the launch there were in excess of 170 attendees online and  they could choose what to watch, whether they wanted to participate and to what degree. There was an Expo section where attendees could view video profiles of members and speed networking sessions were held throughout the afternoon which resulted in business opportunities for those involved.

Following the launch Business Butler enjoyed an increase in membership of 10% and received positive feedback from attendees and speakers alike. As satisfying as that is, Bhupinder is keen to emphasise that the launch is just the beginning for Business Butler:

“The purpose of the launch was to celebrate establishing ourselves in south Wales, which is where we started. Our philosophy is all about connecting businesses with professionals they can trust and our strategy is to expand throughout the UK, beginning with the next phase of our development by launching in Bristol in the New Year.”

Business Butler helps SMEs find trusted, relevant and impartial advice and support for their business, easily and quickly through a variety of means all in one place. One such means is a web-based business matching engine that connects small business users with fully vetted professionals.

Another innovative method is via an intelligent business chatbot which was demonstrated at the launch and has been developed as part of a SMART Partnership with Cardiff Metropolitan University. SMART Partnerships are funded by the Welsh Government and they offer financial support to innovative collaboration projects that need a range of expertise to succeed.
