Guests at voco St David’s Cardiff can now enjoy the ultimate in locally-inspired luxury, as the hotel’s award-winning spa launches its brand-new Cardiff Bay Mud Wrap – a treatment designed to leave guests feeling refreshed, revitalised… and just a little bit salty.
Harnessing the (questionable) powers of Cardiff Bay’s finest shoreline silt, the new treatment promises a “deeply grounding” experience using sustainably sourced mud “rich in natural minerals and maritime charm.”
Phil Bailey, Spa Manager at voco St David’s Cardiff, said:
“We’re always looking for ways to connect guests to our unique location, and the Cardiff Bay Mud Wrap truly embodies the spirit of the Bay. Sure, it’s a little gritty – but we like to call that exfoliating! Whether it’s the subtle scent of seaweed or the gentle squelch underfoot, it’s a full sensory experience our guests won’t forget.”
The treatment includes a foot soak in filtered Bay water, a full-body wrap in locally gathered mud, and a relaxing rinse using the Bay’s “occasional drizzle,” weather permitting.
The hotel recommends pairing the treatment with a post-wrap cocktail, preferably indoors.
The Cardiff Bay Mud Wrap is available for one day only – April 1st – and booking is essential.
