Families across Wales can look forward to a warm and largely dry start to the school summer holidays, with the Met Office forecasting plenty of sunshine and temperatures climbing into the mid 20s this week.
After any early morning mist and fog clears on Monday, much of the country is expected to enjoy a fine day with patchy cloud, light winds and warm sunshine.
Daytime temperatures are forecast to reach around 22°C, making for pleasant conditions for days out, parks and beaches.
Monday evening is expected to remain dry with plenty of sunshine before clear spells and light winds overnight. Overnight temperatures could fall to around 7°C.
The warm weather is set to continue on Tuesday, with largely fine, dry and settled conditions across Wales. While skies may become a little hazy at times, temperatures are expected to rise further, reaching highs of around 25°C.
Looking ahead to the rest of the working week, the Met Office says Wednesday through to Friday will remain largely dry, with a mix of cloud and sunny spells.
Although a few showers are possible where cloud becomes thicker, most places are expected to stay dry, with temperatures remaining around or just above average for the time of year.
The settled spell is likely to provide ideal conditions for those heading away on holiday or making the most of the first week of the summer break closer to home.
