Welsh Company On Cloud Nine With Wins In The Americas

Object Matrix, the Cardiff-based provider of hybrid cloud and object storage archive solutions to the media / entertainment industry, is celebrating landing over £0.75m worth of business in the Americas.

The deals include sales to the world’s largest news network, and also New York based Networks MSG-N (Madison Square Gardens Networks) part of the MSG Group that owns Madison Square Gardens, the New York Rangers and the New York Knicks.

Object Matrix has an impressive track record in providing tightly integrated private and hybrid cloud platforms and is trusted by global broadcasters, telcos, banks and utilities companies to ensure their video content is always available.

On a recent trip to the NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) Show in Las Vegas, the largest trade show in the broadcast technology business, the company picked up the best Storage award from the IABM (International Association for Broadcast and Media) for their flagship product MatrixStore, as well as between £750k and £1.5million of business in the US, Canada and Chile over the next year.

Object Matrix Sales and Marketing Director, Nick Pearce-Tomenius said:

“We travel extensively from our Cardiff base to build the levels of trust required to do business in the Americas, and to sustain our success over there, you need to go out and meet with your potential customers, as ultimately people buy from people. Over the last five years the Welsh Government has enabled us to make in-country visits and attend international trade shows in order to build and maintain that trust. The award is a big deal for us and has created further interest in Object Matrix in the Americas.”

Recent company wins include implementing two petabytes of MatrixStore in disaster recovery and business continuity workflows for their fifth US customer, MSG-N in New York. Object Matrix systems have been deployed in Chile and Argentina, and they also have customers in Colombia and Brazil.
