One of Wales’ leading aluminium fabricators, Dudley’s Aluminium is celebrating after securing two new projects with a combined worth of more than £1million.

The first half of 2018 has been successful for Dudley’s Aluminium, which has secured major projects such as Cambridge University’s R&D Campus and the £4million Central Square contract and has invested more than £200,000 in a new storage and offtake facility. Building on its success, the Welsh fabricator has secured two more high profile contracts across the bridge.

The two projects, which were awarded by Kier Construction Limited, have a combined worth of more than £1million and will see Dudley’s Aluminium work in Oxford and Exeter.

The first project Dudley’s secured is for new student accommodation, GSA in Exeter and is worth in excess of £700,00. Dudley’s will be installing Metal Technology System 17 capped curtain walling and Metal Technology System 435/535 windows and doors.

The second contract the Cardiff-based company secured is to support the construction of Oxford-based Infineum’s Project Maia in Oxford – a new Global Centre of Innovation to support the company’s technology leadership and enable improved innovation. Dudley’s will be installing Kawneer curtain walling and doors, top of the range automatic entrance doors and Louvre doors throughout the state-of-the-art building.

Speaking about the contract wins, Colin Shorney, Managing Director of Dudley’s Aluminium, said:

“We are thrilled to have secured two more projects this year and are delighted to be working with Kier Construction, an outstanding construction company.

“Both projects are great additions for their local area. Project Maia is the start of a big investment for Infineum which will bring in more than 80 jobs to Oxfordshire, while GSA in Exeter demonstrates the support for future generation’s education. We are proud to be part of two major construction projects.”

Construction is already underway on both projects, with completion estimated for November 2018 for Project Maia and February 2019 for GSA, Exeter.

Dudley’s reputation for quality has been recognised with several industry-related accreditations. The company is CHAS and Achilles accredited, Constructionline registered and certified to manufacture “Secured by Design” products.
