Welsh Rock Legend Mike Peters is Heading to Cardiff to Celebrate Release of New Album

Mike Peters of Iconic 80’s Welsh alternative rock band The Alarm is set to perform and meet fans in his native Cardiff at an exclusive HMV event held on Friday 29th June at 5:30 PM.

Famed for creating huge ripples in the 1980’s English rock scene having initially carved out a career by opening for acts such as U2 and Bob Dylan, lead singer Mike Peters will perform tracks from the band’s new album ‘Equals’.

‘Equals’ is The Alarms first album in eight years and encompasses a strong emphasis on the personal journey Mike has been on in recent years. This poignant personal message and highly anticipated return to music coupled with the bands signature sound makes for material that is classical in sound yet moving and contemporary in context.

The new record marks the latest chapter in a magical musical journey that has seen The Alarm sell six million albums while clocking up seventeen Top Fifty singles in the UK, a far cry away from the Welsh seaside resort of Rhyl where the original band was formed back in the 80’s.

Access to this event will be restricted to customers purchasing any format of the album in person from hmv Cardiff on Friday 29th June, subject to availability and while stocks last. Online orders, including Click and Collect, will not be valid.
