Nightingale House Hospice has announced the return of its annual Christmas Tree Collection, giving local residents a simple and environmentally friendly way to recycle their real Christmas trees while supporting vital hospice care.

From Friday 9 January to Tuesday 13 January 2026, supporters can book a collection for their real Christmas tree, which will be picked up from outside their home by Nightingale House Hospice teams. In return, participants are asked to make a donation, with all funds raised going directly towards patient care and services at Nightingale House Hospice, helping support patients and families living with life-limiting illnesses.

Bookings are now open and can be made online via bit.ly/Tree-NHH. Trees should be left in a clearly visible location by 7am on the day of collection, with all decorations, lights and stands removed.

The Christmas Tree Collection is available across selected CH, LL and SY postcodes, and all collected trees will be responsibly disposed.

Elise Jackson, Events and Campaigns Manager at Nightingale House Hospice, said:
“This is a fantastic way for people to dispose of their real Christmas tree, while also giving something back.

“Our team of volunteers is always very excited to help us with this campaign, and it is a wonderful way for people in the community to support a local charity.

“Every donation made through the Christmas Tree Collection helps us continue providing compassionate care, comfort and support to patients and their loved ones when they need it most.”
