A Denbighshire-based construction firm’s five-year strategic growth plan has been boosted by the expansion of its head office and renewable technologies.
Wynne Construction, named one of the 50 fastest growing businesses in Wales during 2024, has carried out key improvements to its Charles House headquarters.
With the 20th anniversary of its arrival in Bodelwyddan’s Kinmel Park on the horizon, the family-owned and run company has completed a second-storey extension.
Bidding to futureproof the building, a new management suite has been created, featuring a high-spec meeting room and two new offices.
Around 25 employees work from the North Wales base for Wynne, which has experienced an increase in turnover of more than 250 per cent in the last two years and welcomed new clients in sectors including healthcare, retail, leisure, commercial, and education.
Wynne Construction director Richard Wynne said: “Our vision has always been about achieving sustainable growth to ensure long-term success for the business, our employees, and the supply chain.
“This approach has been key to help us win new contracts, attract and retain the best skills and talent, and develop an enviable reputation in the industry.
“To do this, we must ensure that we have the facilities to match, and this expansion of our head office will create an impressive space for the company to continue growing.”
Wynne Construction is working on multi-million-pound schemes including Sunnyside Wellness Village in Bridgend, Haverfordia House apartments and reablement centre in Haverfordwest, and a new leisure centre in Newport.
It’s also building Ferndale’s Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Llyn-Y-Forwyn, the Enterprise, Engineering, and Optics Centre (EEOC) for Wrexham University, Pontllanfraith Centre for vulnerable learners in Caerphilly, and a new school on Wrexham Road in Chester.
David Wynne, director at Wynne Construction, said: “We incorporate innovative and modern methods as part of our work for clients and it has been no different when it comes to our own office spaces, which will give us the ability to move forward with confidence.
“Our business is built on a foundation of organic, measured growth, which has enabled us to create a stable financial model that supports our long-term vision, and recent improvements to Charles House certainly supplement that.”
Wynne Construction was named 22nd on the Wales list by the UK Fast Growth Index for 2024, the programme which identifies the fastest-growing companies in seven regions and nations in the UK.
