Households across Pembrokeshire who rely on heating oil or LPG are set to receive vital support through the Off Grid Heating Fuel Support Scheme.

Funded by the Welsh Government and delivered by local authorities, the scheme offers a one‑off £200 payment to help low‑income households manage rising energy costs.

    Who is eligible?
To qualify, households must meet both conditions:

    • be in receipt of, or successfully apply for, the Council Tax Reduction Scheme between 1 April and 31 July 2026.
    • use heating oil or LPG as their main source of heating, with proof such as a bill dated within the past 12 months.

Applicants must live at the property as their main residence, and only one payment per household is permitted.

How to apply and what happens next
Pembrokeshire County Council has identified households likely to be eligible and will send out letters to those households directly, inviting them to apply.

    Applicants will be asked to:

    • confirm their heating fuel type
    • provide evidence (e.g. oil/LPG bill)
    • submit bank details for payment.

Applications must be submitted by 30 September 2026.

Verified claims will be paid directly into bank accounts, with payments issued as soon as possible and no later than 31 October 2026.
