Swansea-based enterprise education resource provider, 2B Enterprising, is celebrating after welcoming JCP Solicitors as its milestone 100th corporate partner supporting its innovative entrepreneurial education programme.

2B Enterprising has created The Bumbles of Honeywood learning resources which help to teach young children about enterprise, entrepreneurship, and essential life skills by following the Bumble Family of bees from Honeywood as they tackle a range of challenges together.

JCP Solicitors is the 100th corporate partner to work with 2B Enterprising, providing the funding for a primary school to receive these engaging resources. The legal firm has been partnered with St Illtyd’s RC Primary School in Bonymaen and will support them for the year ahead.

As part of the programme businesses are paired with local schools to provide them with access to educational resources including books, activities and lesson plans, which aim to teach young children about enterprise, entrepreneurship, and essential life skills. The business also has the opportunity to visit its partner school and help to deliver a set of lessons covering everything from networking and confidence building through to problem solving and creative thinking.

More than 10,000 primary school children in 225 Primary schools across England and Wales have so far engaged with the successful initiative in just over a year.

JCP Solicitors will now join businesses including Vinci Construction, Sony, and Swansea.com which have already supported schools throughout south Wales.

On the announcement, Jayne Brewer, CEO of 2B Enterprising said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have JCP Solicitors on board as our 100th corporate partner. The children at St Illtyd’s RC Primary School will now not only have access to The Bumbles of Honeywood resources but they will also be able to learn from the team at JCP about the world of business and the skills needed to succeed.

“We hope that JCP Solicitors benefit from being part of the programme as much as the school and we look forward to helping them nurture their relationship and make a lasting impact with the children.”

JCP Solicitors, which has offices across south and west Wales, said it was delighted to be supporting 2B Enterprising and helping to enhance educational opportunities.

Hayley Davies, Director and CEO at JCP Solicitors, said: “We recognise how important it is for JCP Solicitors to support our communities and the incredible people who live in them.

“As such we feel it’s vitally important that we work with the next generation, and help support young people to reach their full potential by pursuing rewarding careers that they feel passionately about.

“We are delighted to be 2B Enterprising’s 100th partner for its The Bumbles of Honeywood programme, and we’d like to thank them for this fantastic opportunity.

“Our Staff Community Group has already been hard at work at our partner school, St Illtyd’s RC Primary School, to deliver the first session and we look forward to working with the school and pupils going forwards.”
