If you have crooked teeth and you’re looking for a treatment, know that there are more options than ever today and that most issues can be fixed without many problems. Some methods could even be fixed without the need for surgical intervention. You do have to assess the severity of your condition first, however, and then start looking at the different options that could work in your case. You may have to look at things like budget, age, and lifestyle considerations as well. Let’s take a look at a few things that you can do if you want to fix crooked teeth.

    Get Clear Aligners

If you have minor or moderate alignment issues, then one of the best options would be to go with clear aligners. Using clear aligners to straighten teeth is one of the least intrusive options there is, and one of the most affordable as well. You could get a set of clear aligners for well under $1200, and the best part in all of this and you may not even have to leave home to get your aligners done. But you do have to make sure that you choose an experienced company so that they’re made properly and get you the results you want.

    Get Braces

Braces are the second most common option for crooked teeth and one of the most efficient too. While metal remains the most popular material for braces, you could also go for lingual or ceramic braces. Metal braces are a good option if you want to pay less, though they are still much more expensive than clear aligners. They’re also much more intrusive and come with more restrictions. They’re more visible too.

If money is not an issue and you prefer something more discreet, then ceramic and lingual braces are your best options. Ceramic braces are made from a tooth-colored or translucent material and are much more difficult to spot than metal braces. Lingual braces, on the other hand, are installed behind the teeth, making them invisible from the front.

Note, however, that all braces will be more restrictive than clear aligners and will come with a long list of foods that will need to be banned. So, learn what these restrictions are before you choose them as an option.

    Look into Surgical Procedures

A surgical procedure can also be performed to fix your teeth, but this is usually reserved for very serious causes like congenital deformities or injuries. One benefit of surgical teeth realignment, however, is that you’ll get the results much faster than with other methods.

    Look at Veneers and Bonding

Procedures like bonding and adding veneers can also be used to fix teeth alignment issues. Veneers can be placed over teeth and shaved to make your smile look more even, while bonding can be used to fix small gaps. So, consider these two options if you think that your issue is not serious enough for other options.

These are some of the best procedures to realign crooked teeth available to people today. If you’re still on the fence about any of these options, don’t hesitate to give a few experts a call and get some clarification.
