A Welsh agency wants to pay someone to make TikToks all day

Now with 800 million monthly active users, it’s no secret TikTok has become a social media platform of choice. Its popularity has grown immensely over the last year alone as many people looked for an outlet to unleash their creativity during various lockdowns.

Now, one Welsh independent advertising agency wants to make the most of its attraction and is recruiting for a TikTok addict to join its Social Media team – on an apprenticeship.

S3 Advertising says the role is unique to an agency setting, especially in Wales, and is the perfect opportunity for someone to flex their creativity, all whilst working with an award-winning team to train, guide and support them.

“Here at S3 we recognise the potential of TikTok to deliver brands’ messages in way that feels practically sewn into youth culture. Put simply, brands who do TikTok well have permission to speak to their audience in a way others don’t – which makes all the difference when the user next comes to choose who to buy from.

“In the spirit of S3’s agency mantra, we set out to ‘bite big’ by creating a unique role that focuses entirely on converting our clients’ brand messages into the TikTok ‘language’ – for BIG results,” says Rebecca Campbell, Managing Partner (Agency Development).

“We also strongly believe in ‘championing the little’ and nurturing talent from the bottom up, so we’re ready to properly invest in the right person. We’re after someone with a real passion for the platform to do what they love for a living – and gain a recognised qualification at the end of it!”

The new hire for S3 will be able to focus all their attention on one of the fastest growing social media platforms, working across client briefs while keeping up to date with the latest trends to deliver quality organic and paid TikTok content.

Not only will S3 Advertising equip the new-starter with everything they need to work in social media full-time when they finish their course, but they will also benefit from all the perks of working for the company, such as private health insurance and up to 30 days holiday – as well as the usual bank holidays – to switch off, relax and recharge.

S3’s Head of PR & Social Content, Danny Hayes-Lissack, adds, “While everyone is learning the latest dance trend for themselves, we’re after a TikToker to be thinking about how they can use the platform as a marketing tool for us and our clients.

“Brands are now seeing the potential of the platform, which is set to surpass 10m UK users in 2021, and we’re no different. The ability to reach a huge audience with quick, authentic content means we can really recognise its impact.

“With the full support of my team and the wider business this new recruit will get real world creative agency experience while completing a Level 3 apprenticeship in Social Media for Business with ACT Training. Basically, they’ll be ready to bite big all the skills and tools needed to develop a career in social media.”

S3 Advertising, which was recently named ‘One to Watch’ by Best Companies and won ‘Employer of the Year’ at the 2020 Cardiff Business Awards, is made up of people from all walks of life – from recent graduates to agency veterans and everything in between.

Rebecca Campbell concludes, “Acknowledging S3 as an agency that dares to be different, we think this new course can change the attitude towards the stereotypical apprenticeship – and we’re so excited to welcome our latest addition on board.”
