Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board has confirmed that additional mobile testing units are on their way to Bridgend County Borough.
The new walk-in facilities will be available from Friday 13 August between 9am – 3pm at Ogmore Vale Primary (CF32 7AJ) and Porthcawl Comprehensive (CF36 3ES).
They will replace the current mobile testing unit based at Nantymoel Primary, which will close at 4pm on Thursday 12 August.
The new facilities are being provided in addition to the testing unit which remains available at the site of the former Revlon (Cosi) factory at Oakwood Drive in Maesteg (CF34 9TS) where it is operating as a drive-through facility between 9am-6pm.
A walk-through testing centre is also available at the Bowls Hall car park in Angel Street, Bridgend (CF31 4AH) between 2pm-8pm.
Booking an appointment in advance for the Ogmore Vale or Porthcawl facility is recommended, but not necessary. However, booking remains essential to use either the Maesteg or the Bridgend testing site.

Across Wales, positivity rates remain high despite the move into alert level zero and excellent progress with the vaccination programme. New figures have confirmed that more than 96,000 residents of Bridgend County Borough and 303,000 people across the Cwm Taf region are now fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
However, this does not mean that they cannot still contract or carry the coronavirus, and it remains absolutely essential for people to undergo testing even if they are showing mild symptoms and have received both shots of the vaccine.
The coronavirus pandemic is far from over, and we have to continue to take precautions in order to protect the most vulnerable among us from potential exposure to the coronavirus. The mobile testing facilities offer a free, convenient way of supporting this, and I hope that everyone will continue to do all that they can to protect local communities from Covid-19.
