ONE of Wales’ leading public relations agencies Effective Communication is celebrating after being shortlisted for seven prestigious industry awards.

The Cardiff-based agency is up for the awards at October’s Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Pride Awards Cymru, celebrating the outstanding work of the PR industry in Wales.

Effective has been shortlisted for their work with a variety of clients, including Chambers Wales (Corporate and Business Communications Campaign), Luxury Lodges, the launch of Dylan Coastal Resorts (Consumer Relations Campaign and Travel, Leisure or Tourism Campaign), Veezu (Corporate and Business Communications Campaign and Consumer Relations), and BBI (Healthcare Campaign and STEM Campaign).

Managing Director Alastair Milburn said: “I am thrilled that the fantastic effort of the team has been recognised, especially since these excellent campaigns were delivered during the pandemic with all the additional pressures that it brought.

“Like so many businesses, we sent our staff home in March 2020, never expecting that things would turn out as they did. We were very fortunate to have all the infrastructure in place for our team to work from home and they adapted incredibly quickly to the ‘new normal’, ensuring that client work was maintained to the highest of standards.

“We have a truly diverse client base and our team’s ability to move seamlessly between subject matter is evidenced by the variety of campaigns we’ve been shortlisted for.

“Whatever the outcome on the day, I could not be prouder of what the team has achieved over the last two years.”

The winners will be announced at a free to attend online event in October.

Established in 2005 Effective Communication has developed a reputation as well-respected public relations and digital communications agency, winning multiple industry awards along the way, including twice being named Best Large Consultancy in Wales.
