Laings The Jewellers has unveiled its stunning new-look showroom at Cardiff’s St David’s Centre.

The expansion project, which has seen the existing showroom more than treble in size to 4,735sq ft, features dedicated diamond and jewellery areas, providing guests with the opportunity to view carefully curated collections in an immersive environment. Building on its unrivalled offering of luxury watches and jewellery, Laings Cardiff will welcome esteemed brands such as Rolex and debut Patek Philippe in Wales for the very first time. Laings will also introduce revered luxury Maison, Fabergé, to Cardiff, with brand exclusivity in the city.

Designed by the Espirit Group, the showroom situated at The Hayes encapsulates the essence of the brands it represents, with unparalleled attention to detail, creating a truly engaging and elevated customer journey.

With a continued focus on providing first-class service, the team at St David’s has also grown by 38%, introducing eight new retail recruits. With bespoke design services available to Laings’ clients and an on-site watch workshop in the Cardiff showroom, the family business will also continue to invest in the traditional crafts of jewellery and watchmaking, safeguarding these artisan skills for the future.

Stuart McDowell, Managing Director of Laings, said: “This expansion reaffirms our commitment to in-store experiences – and to Cardiff, a vibrant city with a thriving retail scene. The showroom is the exclusive home to some of the most sought-after luxury brands and we’ve worked hand-in-hand with our partners to create a truly immersive environment for our clients. Being able to showcase these esteemed brands in our signature space is sure to inspire both our clientele and those working in the industry.”

Speaking on behalf of the St David’s Partnership, Russell Loveland, Senior Portfolio Director for Landsec, added: “The launch of the upgraded Laings showroom at St David’s exemplifies our approach to foster ongoing relationships with our retailers, providing opportunities for them to grow and thrive. As part of this portfolio-wide approach, we work closely with our brand partners to ensure they create a bespoke product choice for our guests, and something that sets each destination apart.”

The £3 million investment into the transformation of the family-run jewellers’ existing showroom at St David’s forms an integral part of Laings’ UK-wide expansion plan. Highlighting Cardiff as a key location for the business, Laings is expected to further build on its presence in the city as part of its longer-term growth plan over the next 18 months.
