Creative technologies (CreaTech) start-up, iungo Solutions, took home the Best New Business award at a sparkling ceremony in the Cardiff City Hall on September 30th, 2021.

The Cardiff Life Awards recognise businesses across a range of industries who have made a positive impact within the region over the past 12 months. Founded just before the global pandemic, iungo rapidly pivoted it’s business model in March 2020 to develop an Upskilling Platform for people at risk of unemployment. Starting out with just two voluntary software engineers, iungo has grown to employ 15 people across the UK and released its first product – a careers guidance platform – in February 2021.

The Cardiff Life Awards judges said: “iungo Solutions innovated smartly to create an app helping people affected by Covid to identify new roles in different sectors” and described the team as “creative, strategy and tech pioneers.”

Jacques Bonfrer, CEO of Bot-Hive collected the award on behalf of the co-founders.

Tom de Vall, Executive Chair at iungo said: “We were over the moon to hear that we had won the Cardiff Life Best New Business Award, and thankful to our partner, Bot-Hive, for collecting the award. It’s been a challenging but promising journey so far, and we are fortunate to be surrounded with a talented and ambitious team to keep us pushing forward. We’re excited to continue our work helping people upskill and broaden their futures.

“We also enjoyed a glass or two of the gin gifted to us from the local Hensol Castle Distillery. Thank you, Cardiff Life!”
