South Wales law firm has secured six shortlistings across two leading legal awards, including UK-wide recognition for its specialist financial remedies team.
Robertsons Solicitors has been shortlisted in five categories at the Welsh Law Awards 2026, recognising its education law, family law and residential conveyancing services, together with the achievements of two members of its Education Law department.
The firm is a finalist for Educational Law Service of the Year, Family Law Services of the Year and Residential Conveyancing Law Services of the Year. Rhys Palmer, who heads the Education Law department, has been shortlisted for Solicitor of the Year (+5 PQE), while his colleague Dannielle Howard is a finalist for Trainee Solicitor of the Year.
Robertsons has also been named as a finalist in the Financial Remedies Team of the Year category at the national Family Law Awards.
It is the only Welsh firm on the shortlist and will compete alongside UK practices Expatriate Law, Hall Brown Family Law, IMD Solicitors, International Family Law Group, Payne Hicks Beach and Vardags.
Chris Barber, Managing Partner at Robertsons Solicitors, said:
“This recognition is a tremendous achievement for everyone at Robertsons and reflects the expertise, care and commitment our teams bring to their work.
“We are delighted to see three of our specialist services recognised at the Welsh Law Awards, alongside well-deserved individual shortlistings for Rhys and Dannielle. Both have made an important contribution to the continued development of our Education Law department and to the clients and families it supports.
“To be the only Welsh firm shortlisted for Financial Remedies Team of the Year at the Family Law Awards is also a significant achievement. Our team is being recognised alongside some of the most respected specialist family law firms in the UK, demonstrating the calibre of legal expertise available here in Wales.
“While awards recognition is extremely welcome, what matters most to us is the difference our people make for clients. These shortlistings reflect their commitment to providing expert advice with clarity, understanding and genuine care.”
