The Rhyl Pavilion Theatre is back open to show-goers, following a period of closure due to Covid-19.

While customers have been away, Denbighshire Leisure Ltd have given the ground floor mall a dazzling new makeover, including a new entrance area; Costa Coffee install; new bar with lounge, plus a redesigned sweet shop and box office.

A new and exciting VIP area has been designed, complete with private bar and balcony with beachside views – coming soon, and is available to book for pre-show parties and other special occasions.

Jamie Groves, Managing Director of Denbighshire Leisure Ltd, said: “I’m thrilled that we are finally reopening Rhyl Pavilion Theatre. It was a huge blow having to close last year because of the flood damage, and then covid restrictions. However, we have used the downtime to invest in our theatre and provide an even bigger and better experience for our customers now they can return.”

Rhyl Pavilion Theatre had to close at the end of last summer following a water tank burst which damaged the entire building, including 1891 restaurant and bar, then after re-opening for a short period in time for the Christmas Panto, Covid-19 restrictions meant having to close the theatre again.

Jamie added: “We have some exciting new developments to look forward to at Rhyl Pavilion theatre in order to make it a destination in its own right, including the reopening of 1891 restaurant and bar coming soon and our popular extended Terrace once we get the warmer weather. After a number of obstacles over the last year, including the flooding as well as Covid-19, we want to make this year one to remember and make memories for our customers that will last a lifetime. Work on the reinstatement of 1891 Restaurant and Bar is due to complete Mid-April, and Denbighshire Leisure Ltd also hopes to unveil its plans for a refurbished auditorium and a new community rehearsal space very soon, so watch this space”.
