Acting on behalf of landlord Castleforge, property consultancies Knight Frank and Cooke & Arkwright have secured tenants for four office suites on the 9th Floor of Brunel House, one of the largest office buildings in Cardiff city centre.

IT infrastructure recruitment specialist Franklin Fitch Recruitment was the first to take up one of the new Suites and has expanded into the 1,162 sq ft Suite 6, on a two year lease agreement.

In addition, procurement and online store systems developer Mercateo UK has signed a five year agreement for the 990 sq ft Suite 3, JCP Solicitors has taken the 1,044 sq ft Suit 9 on a three year lease and Imaginet has taken the 850 sq ft Suite 5 on a three year lease.

Knight Frank and Cooke & Arkwright are joint letting agents on the 225,000 sq ft multi-let Brunel House, which is situated in Fitzalan Road.  Mark Sutton, partner in the Cardiff office division of Knight Frank, said: “All four companies have chosen office space from the ‘Suites At Brunel’ offering on the 9th Floor, which is the ideal solution for anyone wanting hassle-free relocation, with a range of smaller office suites ready to use from day one.”

Lewis Andrews, practice manager at Franklin Fitch said: “We have been in Cardiff for four years now, and needed more space to enable us to accelerate our growth.  In South Wales it is getting harder to recruit good IT specialists as companies work harder to hold onto their best employees, and we see great scope for expansion in helping the large number of growing companies to find the people they need.”

Jack Beckett, leasing manager at Castleforge (Landlord), said: “The suites on the 9th floor are our latest addition to the Brunel offering and as one of the largest buildings in Cardiff we have now created affordable space to suit all occupiers’ requirements, from 1-2 desks to 500+ staff. We welcome a range of occupiers and provide an environment for them to start up, grow and expand with us at Brunel.”

Mark Siddons at joint agent Cooke & Arkwright commented:  “Brunel House dominates the Cardiff city skyline with 225,000 sq ft of office space set over 16 floors. The building has undergone extensive refurbishment and provides high quality office space and space for tenants to meet and greet clients, pick up a coffee or take a break for lunch.”

Brunel is situated next door to Queen Street Railway Station, with the heart of Cardiff within easy reach. For cyclists there are secure on-site bicycle parking and shower facilities on site. The building also provides 24-hour on-site security and crèche facilities, as well as the Clockwise business centre for smaller occupiers seeking a more flexible solution. Plans are underway to create exciting new amenities within the basement to add to the building’s offer.

The building is home to household names including Starling Bank, Countrywide Lawyers and Regus.
