    As part of the ambitious plans to transform Caerphilly town we are seeking your views about the proposed transport interchange.

    Caerphilly train station is set to be upgraded into a new public transport and active travel interchange, subject to funding being secured. The proposed interchange will transform the way people travel to and from Caerphilly. It will effortlessly connect people with trains, buses, taxis and active travel options.

    We want the views of the community to play a vital role in the design and functionality of the site, ensuring all needs are met.

    By taking part in our survey you will be asked to;

    • Comment on the map (you can do this as many times as you like!)
    • Tell us a bit about yourself – This helps us understand who our engagement has reached and makes it easier for us to learn about who we are designing for.
    • Answer a few questions in our Questionnaire. – We’d like to learn about how you travel to and from the station, how often, and what we can do to make your journeys better.

    Cabinet Member with responsibility for Highways & Transportation Cllr. Julian Simmonds said, “We are embarking on a significant transformation programme and the interchange is one of many projects we are delivering to transform our communities. It is vital that residents and visitors alike contribute to the survey and engage with us about what you want this interchange to look like. We have the online survey and we will also be in the towns speaking to people and assisting them to complete the survey. I urge you, have your say and be a part of the transformation journey.”

    For assistance completing the survey, staff will be available;

    Tues 5th July – 8am-9.30am at Caerphilly Bus Station
    Tues 5th July – 2pm-3.30pm – at Caerphilly Library
    Weds 6th July – 2pm-3.30pm – at Coffi Vista
    Mon 11th July – 8.30am-10am – at Caerphilly Bus Station
    Mon 11th July – 4.00pm-5.30pm – at Caerphilly Bus Station
