Research by Business in Focus has shown that large numbers of Welsh businesses are struggling to survive post-covid.

Working on behalf of the UK Government, Business in Focus has designed Focus Futures to help business owners recover from the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic and ensure future resilience.

Delivered across 13 local authorities in Wales, Focus Futures is offering the free, business advice support programme to 50 businesses in each local authority aimed specifically at solving post-covid problems.

Business in Focus Chief Executive, Phil Jones said:

“This support will benefit businesses that have really struggled to get back on track following the pandemic. The impact of this support protects the businesses and safeguards vital jobs in local communities.”

The Focus Futures programme provides a full business diagnostic, tailored advice and free 1-2-1 support from a trusted Business Advisor who helps clients assess their current situation and design measures to help them get back on track. The Business Advisors also work closely with clients to help signpost to suitable financial support.

Focus Futures was launched as a part of the UK Governments’ Community Renewal Fund to provide support to local people to develop skills and confidence in order to further entrepreneurial endeavours post-pandemic. The team supports independent and new businesses, and those self-employed such as sole traders and limited company directors in Wales to further develop and grow their business.
