Thousands of people flocking to the Pride Cymru Big Weekend are getting vital travel advice from Cardiff Bus.

The operator is alerting attendees to road closures and route diversions ahead of the hugely successful event set to take place across Cardiff this weekend.

From Friday until Sunday thousands of people are expected to fill the capital’s streets and celebrate LGBTQ+ communities across Wales.

During the three days Cardiff Bus will have numerous road closures and diversions in place before, during, and after the event.

On Friday roads around Cathays Park will be closed, with the Baycar diverting along Park Place, Corbett Road and North Road. While the Queen Street end of Churchill Way will be closed from 6am to 12pm between Friday and Sunday for a street party, which means that customers who usually catch service 35 from stop HR on Churchill Way will need to go to bus stop HZ on Station Terrace (opposite Queen Street station entrance) instead.
