Two long-standing Welsh legal practices have come together to form a new entity, Martyn Prowel Gartsides, with expert guidance from HSBC UK.

The six-figure deal sees Martyn Prowel Solicitors acquire Gartsides Solicitors. It includes acquiring the practice as well as two other premises from which Gartsides previously traded. The newly formed firm will benefit from the combined knowledge and experience of the two legal practices.

Martyn Prowel Gartside will assist individuals and businesses in South Wales and beyond, with offices in Cardiff, Bridgend, Newport and Abergavenny. The combined legal practice has doubled in size and now boasts a team of 60.

Caron Rockey, Director at Martyn Prowel Gartsides said: “We’re incredibly excited about the future of Martyn Prowel Gartsides, and about the added strength and expertise that this acquisition brings. The two firms have dovetailed seamlessly, and the guidance provided by HSBC UK has been an integral part of the process.”

Donagh Kenny, Relationship Manager at HSBC UK added: “At HSBC UK, we’re proud to support Britain’s businesses and were delighted to assist in this deal. Having worked alongside Martyn Prowel for five years, it’s a delight to see the company grow double in size and extend its operations across South Wales.”
