Afanti Events is pleased to confirm that Hollywood A-List actor, Luke Evans, will headline the line up at the forthcoming Wales Screen Summit on 15-17 May 2023 at Cardiff’s Parkgate Hotel.

The Welsh actor who has amassed a vast resume of acclaimed stage, television and film roles, will discuss his expansive career including his recent starring role in the BBC’s variety performance, Showtime and his role in the iconic ITV drama The Pembrokeshire Murders. He will also discuss his roles in some of Hollywood’s biggest movies including Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Fast and Furious and The Hobbit. He will be in conversation with Jane Millichip, CEO of BAFTA.

The Summit promises to be full of highlights, including a panel with Kate Phillips, Head of Unscripted, BBC, having just presided over the BBC’s output for The King’s Coronation and this weekend’s Eurovision Song Contest. There will also be a session on The Traitors, ITV’s standout hit presented by Claudia Winkleman, in which the production team behind the series, the BBC commissioners overseeing it and one of the players from series one, divulge the secrets behind the show’s massive success which has led to series two.

Ben Frow, Chief Content Officer at Paramount UK and one of the most impactful speakers in the TV industry, will discuss the remarkable evolution of Channel 5 and the creative ways in which the channel continues to punch above its weight. Channel 4 supremo Ian Katz returns this year after a tumultuous year in the history of the channel to discuss the roadmap for the future and Welsh broadcaster and Maxine Hughes, who features in Welcome To Wrexham with Hollywood stars Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, will be discussing her career from Wales to Washington and beyond.

The last tranche of tickets has just been released for sale.  For full info please go to www.walesscreensummit.com
