David de Gea’s time at Manchester United has come to an end. Still, in his prime at 32, many United fans were expecting to hear news of a contract extension. Unexpectedly, his 12-year relationship with Old Trafford appears to be over.

Al-Nassr
There have been scores of footballers who have left Europe to make a career in the Middle East. The most likely reason is due to the near-bottomless financial capability of these Middle Eastern clubs. As a star goalkeeper in his prime, De Gea has naturally received a lucrative offer from Al-Nassr.
De Gea was set to switch to Al-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo’s club, earlier on, but the deal was put on hold. This is due to the FIFA ban on the club due to outstanding payments from previous deals. Nonetheless, the transfer was only put on hold, so the deal can continue at any time.
Sevilla FC
This Spanish football club has been a long-standing rival with many European teams, with a 7-time UEFA Europa record win. With seven silverware in their cabinets, Sevilla is a prime prospect for any aspiring footballer.
As there’s every chance that De Gea might move back to Spain after ending things with United, Sevilla is a prime prospect. The club has also expressed interest in the goalkeeper for a long time now and could offer him a good deal.
Chelsea
The Blues weren’t looking too good in their 2022-23 campaign, with many fans marking it as their worst season in living memory.
Pochettino’s first few weeks in his new position have seen him make some well-needed changes. There have been many players that were let go, and new ones, like Christopher Nkunku, were signed up. De Gea is another prospect that the Blues are keeping their eyes on, seeking to reduce the possibility of sloppy goals.
