WELSH cyber-security specialists Capital Network Solutions (CNS) have successfully certified over 
1000 Cyber Essentials customers, establishing themselves as one of the biggest certification bodies in the UK.
The Cyber Essentials scheme is a UK Government certification that allows businesses to demonstrate their cyber-security credentials to key stakeholders such as customers and supply chain partners.
The UK Government now requires organisations to prove their compliance with the scheme in order to bid for government contracts, as do the Welsh Government, Ministry of Defence and some NHS departments. A new report also reveals plans to include Cyber Essentials certification in insurers’ risk assessments for SMEs.
Cyber-crime is an increasing issue throughout the UK and is estimated to cost the British economy up to £34 billion every year. With a number of smaller companies increasingly being targeted due to poor cyber-security processes, the Cyber Essentials scheme has been introduced to ensure smaller organisations are better placed to deal with the threat of cyber-crime.
Capital Network Solutions is an IASME accredited Cyber Essentials Plus certification body, and has been providing certification training and support since November 2014.
After reaching this signficant milestone of 1000 Cyber Essentials certifications, Capital Network Solutions has established itself as one of the largest certification bodies in the UK.
