An engineering, environmental and planning consultancy is celebrating another year of growth after turnover increased by more than £600,000.
Caulmert, which has offices in St Asaph, Bangor, Altrincham, Nottingham, and Kent, has reported a 20 per cent rise in revenue to £3.86 million.
Celebrating 15 years as a business, the company has 48 employees, who have worked on projects across the UK, including North Wales, Yorkshire, Leicestershire, Essex, and Kent, as well as the Isle of Man.
Key schemes have involved supporting the Manx government’s challenge to uncover a strategy for the disposal of 3,000 tones of sediment that settles in a harbour each year.
The consultancy has also provided structural and geotechnical support on the Vale of York Motorway Services Area, as well as civil works on the new net zero community campus in Bontnewydd, near Caernarfon.
Caulmert managing director Mike Caulfield said: “The increase in turnover from £3.2m in the previous financial year is testament to our fantastic team across our engineering, environmental, and planning divisions.
“We are cautiously optimistic about the future with clear plans on how to move the company forward over the next 12 months and beyond.
“These figures only serve to show us that the work we are doing is valued by our client base and completed to a high standard by each and every member of staff.”
Caulmert’s engineering and design services make up the biggest portion of the business, spanning commercial, residential, and public sectors.
The company’s top priorities include increasing its footing in the highways sector and further developing its environmental impact assessments, which were previously outsourced.
Mike, who is a Fellow of prestigious industry body the Institute of Directors, continued: “It’s important to not sit still and we already have certain areas in which we want to develop.
“As we expand our expertise, we will be looking at strengthening the Caulmert team with the relevant skillset and improving our graduate schemes to support university leavers with learning on the job.”
Founded in 2009, Caulmert is on track to meet an ambitious growth and development plan.
