MORE illustrious names from North Wales industry have joined a new online membership website that offers small businesses access to expert training and advice.

Key figures from the worlds of finance, branding, sales, event management, marketing and cybersecurity have joined the ‘board you can afford’ at My Expert Team.

Founded by Dawn Roberts, the group has grown to include chartered independent financial advisor Jamie Hughes, from award-winning Mold and St Asaph-based Celtic Financial Planning, and Chris Brown, director of rising Prestatyn cybersecurity business, Brolsh.

Others to share their advice, guidance and support on the popular platform are esteemed hospitality consultant Laura Anne Harvey, from Hawarden, Chester-based Tracey Thomas, the force behind This Lady Loves and a small business mentor, and Jane Steen, a small business marketing supremo from Llandudno.

They join Martin Williams, director of Radar PR, and Caroline Sanger-Davies, Director and Principal Consultant at Experience Marketing.

Dawn, from Prestatyn, said the membership, launched just two months ago, has got off to a flying start.

“We have seen a lot of people already signing up, especially for the pay-as-you go access to expert training,” she said.

“The monthly subscription is also building up nicely and with these brilliant new experts joining us from different sectors – and more to follow in 2024 – we will have even more quality content and resources for our members.

“Thanks to everyone who supported us since day one, and to those who have shown an interest in the platform, now is definitely the time to get on board.”

My Expert Team’s ‘Netflix-style’ monthly subscription gives users unlimited access to hours of content on a wide range of topics.

Members can access masterclasses delivered by small business experts, attend live networking events, interactive panel discussions and Q&A sessions, and capitalise on services tailored to their requirements and priorities, via the pay as you go option or longer-term packages.

At just £29 a month, the MET subscription costs less than £1 a day over the course of the year.

For Jamie, becoming part of the team was a “no brainer” given the opportunity to help small businesses across the region.

“As a financial adviser I’m fortunate to work with people from a broad range of industries, of different ages, backgrounds and locations,” he said.

“To bring my experience to this platform – a flexible and affordable way to both network and find instant access to advice and expertise – is something I’m really looking forward to.”

Chris added: “As a small business owner myself, knowing there is a place people can go to access support was a big reason for me wanting to join My Expert Team.

“Given the financial and time pressures of life – and the rise in cybercrime in past years – I’m pleased to be able to share my knowledge and plug into the North Wales and North West business community.

“It’s an invaluable resource that could be a game changer for the way people access training in the future.”
