South Wales Police are continuing to investigate a fatal collision on Southville Road, Sandfields, Port Talbot, that occurred at approximately 10pm on Thursday 4 January 2024.

A 29-year-old man from Sandfields died as a result of the collision and has since been named as Jordan Lee Powell.

His family have paid the following tribute:

“Jordan, you were a loving fiancé, father, stepdad, brother, son, nephew and grandson.
“You always knew how to brighten up a room with just your smile. You’d hear him before you saw him! He was such a lively soul. He was the boy who never wanted to grow up.”

Officers are still appealing for witnesses to the collision. Please contact South Wales Police, quoting reference 2400004570, if you have any information.
