Love Trails Festival has announced the first acts on its music line-up for 2024 with JOY (Anonymous) and Stornoway confirmed to round-off a unique weekend of exploration set in the Gower Peninsula, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty,

Love Trails is the world’s first trail running and music festival, transforming the Gower Peninsula, Wales into a natural playground for revellers and adventure junkies alike. Combining the collective euphoria of watching live music on a big stage, the ‘runner’s high’ and the liberating freedom of the rugged Welsh coastline, it’s a magical event like no other.

Headlining the festival this year with a DJ set are the dynamic dance duo, JOY (Anonymous), and the pop folk band, Stornoway. JOY (Anonymous), formed by Henry Counsell and Louis Curran, has become synonymous with high-energy dance beats, having shared stages with the likes of Fred Again.., The Streets and The Blessed Madonna in 2023, and gained acclaim for their latest album, “Cult Classics.” Stornoway, known for their joyful, high energy and emotional songs about the natural world, love and folklore, returned to the scene last year after a hiatus. 2023 saw Stornoway land a UK Top 10 album, ‘Dig The Mountain!’, and a sold out UK headline tour.

The festival will also feature rising stars across various genres, including AMA, a Drum & Bass sensation nominated for ‘Best Breakthrough DJ of 2023’ by DJ Mag, Welsh soulful reggae singer Aleighcia Scott, and the captivating ensemble of BBC Radio 2 Folk Singer of the Year, Ríoghnach Connolly & Honeyfeet. The eclectic lineup also includes the infectious beats and uplifting melodies of Gonora Sounds, a family band from Zimbabwe, and the 9-piece brass behemoth Riot Jazz Brass Band from Manchester, known for their unique take on covers, spanning Jazz, Hip-Hop, Drum & Bass, and Dubstep. Also on the line-up is Theo Kottis, the house and techno DJ & producer whose recent single ‘Lighthouse’ was crowned the “song of the summer” by Resident Advisor.

In addition to the eclectic and high energy musical programme, Love Trails Festival offers a host of adventure activities and inspirational talks against the picturesque backdrop of the Gower Peninsula. Festival-goers can engage in activities like trail running, hiking, rock climbing, coastal hikes, surfing, yoga and more, creating a perfect blend of movement, music, adventure, inspiration and wellbeing.

“Love Trails Festival is more than just a music event; it’s an immersive experience where the joy of music meets the thrill of adventure,” explains festival founder Theo Larn-Jones. “We’re excited to bring together a diverse lineup of talented musicians and artists who will captivate audiences, and an array of adventure activities that will make this weekend unforgettable.”

Love Trails Festival 2024 is set to take place in July, promising a magical weekend where music enthusiasts and adventure seekers can come together to celebrate life, love, and the spirit of exploration.
