ssential work on the A473 Church Village Bypass requires a single overnight road closure followed by night-time lane closures throughout next week – scheduled at night to minimise disruption.

The scheme will start with the overnight road closure, running from 8pm on Monday, June 24, to 6am on Tuesday, June 25.

The A473 will close between Beddau and Cross Inn Roundabouts – please see a map of the closure and diversion route here.

An alternative route for motorists is available via the A473, A4119, M4, M4 junction 32, A470, Upper Boat Roundabout, Tonteg Road and the Church Village Bypass – or this route in reverse order.

Access will not be maintained for pedestrians nor for emergency service vehicles.

Following this, a single lane closure will be in operation at night on the southbound lane of the Church Village Bypass, running between 8pm-7.30am from Tuesday to Friday (June 25-28).

This will require two-way traffic lights, which can be manually controlled to facilitate traffic flow if this is needed.

Signage has been placed on site to give advanced notice to motorists.
