The six-figure-salary, along with bonuses and equity will be one of the largest available job placements in the region and marks the consultancy’s continued growth with another 30 jobs planned in the next twelve months.

The leadership position will include a great deal of autonomy and the key requirement of the role will be to take ownership of the overall operational strategy of the company. Working directly alongside CEO Nick Proctor, the COO will help drive profitability and support the continued growth of the company.

CEO and founder of amber energy, Nick Proctor said the role was a vital part of the company’s ambitious plans for the future:

“amber energy has had incredible growth recently which was marked last year when we were listed as the fastest growing company in Cardiff. I attribute this growth to the quality of our service and the growing demand amongst businesses for a more diverse utility management offering.

“We’re searching for the right person to come in and work with our outstanding and enthusiastic team and help continue our sustainable growth. This is an exciting position that will allow someone with experience and ambition to put their stamp on an already flourishing business.”

Situated on the eighth floor of Cardiff’s One Central Square the business was recently recognised as Wales’ 10th fastest growing company and provides energy solutions including procurement, utility connections and risk management.

The recruitment drive is being supported by Vargo Recruitment. Associate Director, Tom Miller said that the role was an example of the exciting opportunities available in Cardiff right now: “We are delighted to be supporting Nick and the team as they search for their COO. amber energy is making great waves in the industry and this exciting position is a perfect example of the increasingly high-calibre roles appearing in Wales at the moment.”
