The New Saints Women are delighted to announce the signing of former Sheffield FC, Leeds United and Halifax Town player Molly Havard.

The forward joins The New Saints on semi-professional terms as the squad continues to take shape ahead of the new season, and scored the opening goal in yesterday’s 2-0 friendly victory against Stoke City U21s.

Her move to Park Hall sees her become Shauna Duffy’s ninth signing of the transfer window so far, with The Saints continuing to prepare for what looks set to be an exciting season ahead.

Speaking on the signing, Shauna Duffy, Head Coach at The New Saints FC, said:

“Molly is a talented forward who will have a huge role to play in our upcoming season.

“She’s got great experience behind her from her years of playing in the FA Women’s National League, so will bring a lot of quality to the group.

“She’s got everything it takes to be a real success here at Park Hall, so we’re really looking forward to working with her and watching her score goals this season.”

    New signing, Molly Havard, said:

“I’m really excited to have joined The New Saints. It’s such an exciting time for the club, having recently converted to a semi-professional side, so it’s really great to be here.

“I’m hoping we can achieve some real success together and we’ll continue working hard behind the scenes to make it happen.”
