Neighbours of Hendrewennol save the day with half term activities

Earlier this year, Hendrewennol, renowned for their fruit and pumpkin picking events announced that they wouldn’t be holding their annual October half term activities this year.

They also announced that their last day of pumpkin picking would be October 14th 2018.

In recent years, the popularity of Hendrewennol has been phenomenal, driven in part by social media with many families sharing their experiences predominately on Facebook. I for one found out about this fantastic place after a friend shared their pumpkin picking adventures in a Facebook post.

It goes almost without saying, that there has been many expressions of disappointment as people continue to find out how that Hendrewennol has already closed for the season.

However, it doesn’t look like all is lost as the kind people at Hendrewennol have shared the half term and Christmas activities of one of their neighbours, Ty Cerrig Christmas Tree Farm.

The farm next door is hosting a pumpkin hunt, as well as crazy golf and much more this half term.

As a local well wisher and someone that has enjoyed coming to Hendrewennol many times in the past, I do hope that this doesn’t dampen their spirits, and whatever their reason for cutting short the season, I do hope to see their activities return in 2019 for more people to enjoy.

We have contacted Hendrewennol for comment.
