A South Wales Police (SWP) investigation has seen a man jailed for over three years for drug possession and supply.

Tommy-Lee Carson, aged 28, of Holton Road, Barry, was sentenced to 45 months in prison on May 16 after pleading guilty at Cardiff Crown Court to being concerned in the supply of cocaine. He was also sentenced to serve concurrently: six months for possession of an offensive weapon in a private place (namely a zombie knife); 12 months for being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug of Class B (cannabis); and 12 months for possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class B (cannabis resin).

Carson was identified by Cardiff’s Organised Crime Team, after investigating a Class A and B drug line that was linked to his number. Texts were identified on a mobile telephone number linked to Carson that advertised drugs for sale. A warrant on Carson’s home address took place on February 12 2025, and drugs with a street value of between £3,640 and £7,280 were seized, along with the weapon.

Investigating officer DC Gaby Pughsley said: “Carson’s drug dealing will undoubtedly have impacted the local community and I’m pleased to see this significant sentence.

“There is zero-tolerance for drug supply on our streets and our organised crime team are committed to identifying and apprehending those involved.”
