A flood warning has been issued for parts of Trostre, Llanelli, with Natural Resources Wales (NRW) advising residents and businesses to take immediate precautions.
The warning covers the River Dafen around Trostre, including the Industrial Park, Lower Trostre Road and parts of Trostre Retail Park. River levels have already caused flooding on low-lying land and roads, and further disruption is expected.
According to NRW, rainfall is expected to ease by around 4.30pm today (14 September), but flood impacts are ongoing and conditions remain under close review.
Residents in affected areas are urged to act now. This includes moving valuables, family members and pets to higher ground, switching off gas, electricity and water supplies if safe to do so, and making use of any flood protection measures available. People are also advised not to walk, cycle or drive through flood water, which can be deeper and more powerful than it appears.

NRW says residents should stay alert, as even when the rain clears, flood risk may continue in low-lying parts of the area.
