The annual FREE Halloween event in Swansea City Centre returns on Saturday 25 October, and this year it’s getting a spine-tingling upgrade.

In addition to our family-friendly event area in St David’s Place, a new area designed to frighten, and delight is being introduced this year at Copr Bay’s Amy Dillwyn Park.

Prepare yourself for Spooks in the City: Monster Mash-up, supported by the Childcare Offer for Wales, and encounter all manner of creatures in the two areas from 3pm until 8pm.

St David’s “Peculiar” Place is perfect for families, this lively area features a main stage packed with children’s entertainment supported by Flying Start, games, music, a fancy dress competition, and performances by professional entertainers. But beware, creatures will be roaming the square, ready to startle and amuse our younger guests.

Across the ominous Troll Bridge lies Amy Dillwyn “Dark” Park, our new area that is not for the faint of heart. This zone is crawling with terrifying creatures and chilling sights that might just haunt your dreams.

Follow the Monster Mash-up photo trail connecting both zones discover all eight monsters to enter the prize draw, look out for giant creatures sprouting from buildings, spooky projections and scares lurking everywhere. Fancy-dress enthusiasts can enter our costume competition with incredible prizes to be won with categories for kids and adults!

Councillor Rob Stewart, Leader of Swansea Council, said: “Spooks in the City is a highlight of our annual calendar, and this year we’re thrilled to offer a fresh experience for our older guests. With one area for families and another for thrill-seekers, expect laughter, gasps, and screams echoing through Swansea’s streets.

“We’re always looking for new ways to enhance what the city has to offer, and this year’s event is a perfect example of that.”
