A 21-year-old man from Flintshire has been issued with a Football Banning Order for his involvement in matchday disorder.

Paul Evans, of Parc Alun, Mold, appeared at Lincolnshire Magistrates’ Court on 11 November.

At court, he admitted to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour on Lincoln High Street.
The incident occurred at Wrexham AFC’s League One away match against Lincoln City on 3 May 2025.

Evans was handed a three-year Football Banning Order, prohibiting him from attending any football matches in the UK throughout its duration.

He will also be prohibited from being within 2,500 metres of any regulated stadia on matchdays and banned from entering any town/city where Wrexham AFC or the Wales national team are playing.

Superintendent Simon Barrasford said: “Football Banning Orders impose strict and far reaching restrictions on those convicted of football related offences.

“The consequences for anyone involved in matchday disorder or criminal behaviour are severe, with bans preventing attendance at matches both in the UK and abroad.

“These orders are designed to act as a powerful deterrent to anyone who considers disrupting the safety and enjoyment of the game.”
