Tywi valley’s plantsman’s paradise, Aberglasney Gardens, will be transformed into a Christmas wonderland for its annual Winter Fair next month. The ultimate festive event will be held over three days – Friday, Saturday and Sunday – 5, 6 and 7 December 2025.
Visitors will find local artists and creators selling unique gifts, art and beautiful homeware. There will be one-off pieces of jewellery, skincare and fashionable winter wear for those who want something special for themselves or to give as gifts.
Foodies will have the opportunity to stock up on all their favourite festive treats. From decadent chocolate and festive spirits to Welsh cheese and chutneys, there will be something to tantalise everyone’s tastebuds. There will also be a range of outlets for ‘on the go’ eating and drinking.
The Fair will be open each day from 10am until 4.30pm. Entrance will be £10 per adult with no separate entrance fee to the Gardens. Aberglasney members are admitted to the Winter Fair free of charge as part of their annual membership package and children under 17 are also free of charge. All visitors will be treated to a free glass of mulled wine and a warm mince pie.
Helen Scutt, Aberglasney Gardens’ Director, said, “Aberglasney’s Winter Fair is the perfect start to the festive season. The Gardens and Mansion will be transformed into a winter wonderland. We’re delighted to be able to offer visitors the opportunity to do all their Christmas shopping whilst enjoying the festive atmosphere in these beautiful surroundings.”
Entertainment will be provided by choirs from local schools on the Friday and throughout the weekend visitors can enjoy festive performances from local choirs and professional singers.
Santa will make time in his busy schedule to visit on Saturday and Sunday. Sion Corn will be happy to chat in English, neu yn Gymraeg. There will be a gift for each child that visits him and there will be a festive trail around the Gardens for children to enjoy finding the clues.
There will be a free park and ride service available each day of the event. On the Friday the buses will run from Cae William Llandeilo RFC but visitors can park anywhere in Llandeilo and catch the bus to the gardens and on the Saturday and Sunday the buses will run from Ysgol Bro Dinefwr once again this year. Group discounts are available if pre-arranged.
