A 41-year-old man who died following a fatal road traffic collision on Boxing Day in Trebanog Terrace, Penderyn has been named as Jamie Lee Morrison, from the Penderyn area.

His family has paid the following tribute to him:

“Jamie was a loving son, brother, grandson, and uncle. He was only 41 having been taken from us so suddenly, and nothing can express the loss that we are currently feeling as a family.

“He was well known in the community and was loved by everyone who knew him. He had a heart of gold and was totally selfless and would help anyone in need. His family meant everything to him.

“Jamie loved football and was a massive Arsenal fan. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him, especially by the boys at the New Inn, Rhigos.

“Jamie will forever live on in our hearts and never be forgotten.”

The family have requested that their privacy be respected at this sad time and have asked people to please refrain from speculating.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing and our Serious Collision Investigation Unit is actively seeking witnesses to the crash.

Anyone who may have seen the incident or has CCTV or dash camera footage from the area at the time is encouraged to come forward.

Please reference occurrence number 2500407622 when providing information.
