Homebuyers who want to be first in line to reserve a new property in Mold are being invited to a launch event this week.

Anwyl Homes will unveil the first homes for sale at Dol Derwen with a special evening event, being hosted at its nearby Summers Bridge development in Deeside on Thursday, January 15.

The remote launch will take place ahead of a dedicated sales office and show homes opening on site at Dol Derwen in the spring.

Running from 4pm to 7pm, the event will offer prospective buyers the opportunity to enjoy drinks and nibbles while exploring Anwyl’s show homes at Summers Bridge, to get a taste of the homebuilder’s designs.

Visitors will also be able to meet Anwyl’s homes advisers, who will be on hand to talk through the new homes planned for Mold. Available properties and the wider development will be showcased on an interactive screen, offering virtual walk-through tours and giving attendees an exclusive first look at what’s to come.

Graeme Gibb, sales director at Anwyl Homes Cheshire and North Wales, said:

“Dol Derwen offers the best of both worlds. It enjoys a semi-rural setting but is within walking distance of Mold’s vibrant shops, cafes, restaurants and highly regarded schools. There has already been strong interest since work started on site in June last year, and this launch event is a great opportunity for buyers to be among the first to discover what the development will offer.

“By launching initially from Summers Bridge, visitors can take their time exploring our homes and meet the team. Our virtual reality technology will really bring Dol Derwen to life, giving them the chance to reserve ‘off plan’ before the sales office opens on-site.”

Located on the edge of Mold, along Gwernaffield Road, Dol Derwen will eventually feature 235 new homes across a 28-acre site. Once complete, it will deliver a thoughtfully designed new neighbourhood with a mix of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes, set among green open spaces, play areas and retained trees and hedgerows.

The development will include 94 affordable homes, alongside 141 private sale properties, helping to meet a wide range of local housing needs. A new road linking Gwernaffield Road and Denbigh Road is also being created as part of the scheme, improving local connectivity and allowing Pool House Lane to become a walking and cycling route.

As part of the planning agreement, Anwyl Homes is contributing to the local community, including funding towards improvements at Ysgol Bryn Gwalia, as well as delivering a play area and multi-use games area that will be available for residents and the wider community to enjoy. Biodiversity measures across the site include new native planting and the installation of bird and bat boxes.

Prices for the first homes on release will range from £299,995 to £519,995.
