Wales is set for a mixed but increasingly warm spell of weather this week, according to the Met Office.

Today will be cloudy and breezy across much of the country, with outbreaks of rain and drizzle becoming heavier into the afternoon. Despite the unsettled conditions, it will feel mild for the time of year, with temperatures reaching a high of around 16°C.

Into the evening, the rain and winds are expected to ease slightly, although conditions will remain cloudy with further patches of drizzle. Hill fog is also likely to develop overnight, with temperatures staying relatively mild at around 10°C.

Wednesday will start on a wetter note, with a spell of heavy rain and blustery winds moving through during the morning. However, conditions are expected to improve later in the day, with drier and brighter weather developing. Sunshine will help lift temperatures to a warmer 18°C, making it feel noticeably milder.

Looking ahead to the rest of the week, the weather will remain changeable, with a mix of rain, showers and brighter spells from Thursday through to Saturday. Temperatures are expected to gradually rise, bringing a warmer feel as the week progresses.
