Traffic is building across parts of south Wales this morning following incidents on two key routes, according to Traffic Wales.

Drivers travelling southbound on the A470 between Nantgarw and Coryton are being warned to allow extra time for their journeys due to congestion in the area.

Meanwhile, there are delays on the A40 in Monmouth, where traffic lights are in operation on the eastbound carriageway. Lane one has been closed following a collision, with emergency services currently at the scene.

Motorists are advised to plan ahead, expect disruption and consider alternative routes where possible.
