The Development Bank of Wales has backed Scully Property Group Ltd with an £858,000 loan to support the delivery of five new homes in Seven Sisters, Neath.
The project comprises three two‑bed bungalows and two three‑bed bungalows and marks the company’s first project supported by the Development Bank. The project was also eligible for the Green Homes Incentive, with the homes being delivered via a timber frame method of construction.
Neath-based Scully Property Group was founded by father‑and‑son team Barrie and Luke Scully, to pursue their shared ambitions in property development. The company is built on Barrie’s extensive experience in the construction industry, where he has delivered a wide range of high‑quality residential schemes including refurbishments, extensions, self-build homes, and multi‑unit developments. His work has been recognised multiple times by Neath Port Talbot Local Authority Building Control for its exceptional standard.
Drawing on this strong foundation and Luke’s ambition, Scully Property Group is committed to delivering quality-led residential projects across the Neath Port Talbot area. The company has established a solid reputation locally for its workmanship, attention to detail, and reliable project delivery. A reputation reinforced by the successful completion of their previous schemes in Banwen, Neath, in 2022.
Barrie Scully, Director at Scully Property, said: “We’re pleased to be moving ahead with this scheme in Seven Sisters. It’s a project that reflects our commitment to building high‑quality homes in the communities we know well. The support from the Development Bank has been invaluable, particularly as this is our first time working with them. Their backing gives us the confidence to progress our plans and deliver homes we can be proud of.”
Leigh John, Assistant Property Development Executive at the Development Bank of Wales, said: “Scully Property is an experienced local developer with a strong reputation for high‑quality residential schemes. This project will bring five well‑designed new homes to Seven Sisters, meeting local demand and building on the business’ proven track record in the area. We’re glad to support Barrie and Luke with their latest project and to welcome them as a new customer.”
